The Department of Nature
Conservation and Protection of the Ministry of Environment is responsible
for nature conservation, protection and sustainable development in protected
areas. It works for the improvement of the environmental quality of air,
soil, water (rivers, lakes, sea and groundwater) climate, forests and
biodiversity in the interests of welfare and livelihoods, social culture,
economy and science. It is also involved in the preparation of the relevant
organizational structures for nature protection and conservation throughout
Cambodia. |
