The Department of Forestry and Wildlife of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries is responsible for developing and implementing research, protection and conservation programs for forestry and wildlife. Wildlife activities are carried out by the Wildlife Protection Office, whose specific mandate includes; To conduct wildlife research and inventories in Cambodia, to conduct in-situ and ex-situ wildlife conservation, to prepare laws, declarations, decisions and legislation concerning wildlife resource management, to conduct wildlife protection extension activities, to manage wildlife exploitation and trade and suppress wildlife violations.
