Cat Ba National Park

The site is situated on Cat Ba island in the Hai Phong City. Cat Ba is a large, limestone karst island, at the southern edge of Ha Long Bay, a Natural World Heritage.

Birding highlights: Black Kite, White-bellied Sea Eagle and Pacific Reef Egret.

Bird fauna: Although was degreed as a National Park, the highest protection level in Vietnam's protected areas system, almost Cat Ba Island and the National Park was very disturbed by large-scale development activities, especially for tourism industry. As other faunas, the avifauna in Cat Ba is relatively poor. Most abundant species at the site are Black Kite and Large-billed Crow.

Other features: Scenic land/seascape, endemic primate (Golden-headed Langur).

Transportation: Car/bus then boat.
