BirdLife in Indochina as the CEPF Regional Implementation Team (RIT)

BirdLife International in Indochina is a regional programme of the BirdLife Secretariat. BirdLife International in Indochina works to promote conservation in the Kingdom of Cambodia, the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, the Union of Myanmar and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. More about BirdLife...

CEPF investment in this region was formally launched in August 2008 following selection of BirdLife International in Indochina as the Regional Implementation Team. As the Regional Implementation Team in Indochina, BirdLife International will raise awareness of CEPF; solicit grant applications and assist organisations to make applications; review applications; give small grants and jointly make decisions with CEPF on large grants; and monitor and evaluate progress with the investment strategy. Further information on CEPF-RIT terms of reference and selection process.

National Advisory Groups and Technical Review Groups

National Advisory Groups generally consist of representatives from nationally-represented CEPF donors, the GEF Small Grants Programme national coordinator, a leading national academic institution, a leading national NGO, and a leading international NGO. Each group helps review the CEPF portfolio in each country annually, providing guidance and comments to the CEPF-RIT based on this review, participating in a more detailed mid-term assessment of the investment portfolio, and review and endorse lists of small grants approved by the CEPF-RIT.

Technical Review Groups comprise experienced international and local conservation practitioners or academics. Each group, which has four to 10 core members and an unlimited number of supporting members, helps to peer review proposals received by CEPF-RIT. Full list of Technical Review Group members
